Out and About
Recommended Age: 1 year or older.
Prerequisites: Participants must have completed one of our courses (Basics, Manners 101, CGC Prep, CGCA) or an equivalent program through private training. Dogs not previously trained through our programs will need to be evaluated before enrolling.
Course Description: Take your dog’s training to the next level with "Out and About," a dynamic 4-week course designed to help your dog thrive in real-world environments. Each week, we’ll meet at a different, predetermined public location, offering new sights, sounds, and distractions to challenge your dog’s focus and confidence.
Throughout the course, we’ll reinforce essential skills like attention, leash manners, recall, "leave it," stays, and appropriate greetings with people— all while navigating various real-life distractions. You and your dog will build the tools necessary to handle everyday situations with ease, from crowded parks to busy streets.
Perfect for dogs who need to improve focus in public settings, this course will help both you and your dog feel more confident in the real world!
*Class is maxed at 5 dog/handler teams.
